Project Associate
Location: On-site- Triveniganj, Supaul, Bihar

We invite applications for two different Project Associate positions for our Adolescent Health (ADH) and Reproductive, Maternal, New born, and Child Health (RMNCH) Projects. While ADH focuses on improving adolescent health outcomes, our RMNCH project is designed to improve maternal and child health outcomes in in underserved rural communities in Supaul. Both these roles are essential to advancing the respective project's goals by directly engaging with communities in rural Bihar.
This is an on-site position with significant fieldwork requirements.
Responsibilities
For ADH
● Conduct health education training sessions in government schools with adolescents through one-on-one and in group discussions.
● Conduct regular home visits of the students and interact with their parents.
● Document field activities, observations, and insights, and prepare periodic updates for internal and external stakeholders.
● Identify and understand community needs in relation to adolescent health, and contribute to continuous program improvement.
● Support other programmatic activities.
For RMNCH
● Draft training modules on RMNCH for Anganwadi workers, pregnant women, lactating mothers, and anganwadi children.
● Conduct training sessions and workshops with the required stakeholders, one-on-one and in group sessions.
● Perform regular growth monitoring for children under the age of five to assess and document their health and nutrition status.
● Collect and enter data on key health metrics, maintain records, and prepare reports for stakeholders.
● Document field activities, observations, and insights, and prepare periodic updates for internal and external stakeholders.
● Work closely with local health workers to support awareness and health promotion activities at the community level.
● Identify and understand community needs in relation to maternal and child health, and contribute to continuous program improvement.
What we are looking for
● A degree in Social Work (BSW or MSW), Public Health, Nutrition, Rural Management, or a related field.
● Fresh graduates or candidates with up to 1-3 years of relevant experience, preferably in public health, adolescent health, skill-building education, or community health projects.
● Strong communication skills, with fluency in both written and spoken Hindi.
● Exceptional attention to detail, ensuring accurate data collection, documentation, and reporting from the field.
● Passion for community mobilisation and experience or interest in facilitating group sessions and health awareness activities.
● Ability to engage effectively with diverse community groups and local stakeholders.
● Eagerness to learn, adaptable, and self-motivated, with a commitment to working on-site in Bihar and travelling within rural areas as required.
